Authors Crandall, Dunlap & Perona To Speak at HNPL

Hamilton North Public Library is excited to offer an evening with local authors Susan Crandall, Phil Dunlap, and Tony Perona. All three will be at HNPL at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, August 30.

“Phil, Susan and I all come at mysteries from different angles because we write in different genres, but at the heart of each of our books is a mystery. Phil’s just happen to take place in the Old West and are categorized as Westerns. Susan’s are romance or romantic suspense, so those elements become important to the mystery. Mine are what you might think of as traditional mysteries, although there’s a supernatural element at work in my books. We look forward to talking about how we plot our mysteries and what differences and similarities there are in our novels despite (or because of) the genres we write in,” said Perona.

Crandall is an award-winning women’s fiction and suspense author. Her first solo work, Back Roads, won a RITA for Best New Work. Her most recent release is Sleep No More.

Dunlap, a long-time journalist , freelance author, and writer, won an EPIC award in 2009 for his novel Saving Mattie. His latest release, Cotton’s War, is the first in a new series.

In 2002, Perona became a published author with the release of Second Advent, the first in the Nick Bertetto series. His work has also appeared in Racing Can Be Murder, a collection of short stories about the Indianapolis 500.

This is a free program, but registration is requested.
