"Some Cupid kills
with arrows, some with traps." - Hero
Don Pedro, Prince of Aragon,
visits Leonato, the governor of Messina, after returning from a victorious
campaign against Pedro’s brother, Don John. With him are two of his officers,
Benedick and Claudio. While in Messina, Claudio falls in love with Leonato's
daughter Hero. Benedick meets his witty match in Beatrice, the governor's
niece. Don Pedro and Leonato arrange a marriage between Claudio and Hero.
Benedick and Beatrice secretly love each other, but both claim they despise the
other. Don Pedro, Claudio, and Hero conspire to make them admit their love
through trickery. Love is never smooth, and Don John arrives in Messina, complete
with a nefarious plan.
The cast of Much Ado About
Nothing will workshop the technique, and rehearse other Shakespeare
scenes. Using a technique similar to the Unrehearsed Shakespeare Project in Pittsburgh,
PA, directors Anne Stichter and Josh Moore will guide the cast through the
production using props and scrolls.
Each cast member knows only which role(s) he or she will be playing. Until they step on the stage, they're completely in the dark. Who knows what can happen!

This is one production not to
be missed.
